Dave--Thanks to you and Jay for coming up and fishing the N. Platte with me. It is truly a special place and I'm glad you were able to experience it. Look forward to seeing you when I return!

A friend and I just spent 4 days with Theo and fished the big three, The Mile, Grey Reef, and Freemont. I keep a fishing log and diary so I count fish. I had a 52 fish day, starting on our own, then floating the Reef with Theo. 52 fish! The largest was a 22" post spawn female. We spent a day at Freemont and I could not believe the average size of the fish. I caught one 24" and Theo caught one, pictured with he and I, that was bigger. The river is a phenom. On the last day we floated the Mile never believing we could out-do the previous days. I had a 40 fish day, 10 of which were 20" or better. One went 23"! I have been to Alaska 4 times and done the upper Kenia. On the Kenia I had a day with 4 fish of 20" or better. The Mile was better fishing! At fish number 40 I set the rod down and smoked a cigar. It was that amazing. If you cannot go this year I'd book for next year. I know we are. Thank you to Theo for what was truly the trip of a lifetime.

No...they are specific to the skagit lines. For switch or scandi lines stick with the spey versi leaders from rio.
